In single-origin bars, the cocoa beans used to make these are grown and cultivated from one particular region. This gives the chocolate a very distinct and unique flavour profile. The flavour of the chocolate depends on the kind of conditions the beans were grown in, this highlights and brings out the delicate, hidden, and nuanced tones in the bar. The origin can be as large as a country or state, or as small as a farm.
